The Standard Schnoodle is an active designer crossbreed whose parents are the Schnauzer and the Poodle. Due to the various sizes of Poodles, Schnoodles can also be toy-sized and giant, as well as miniature. These dogs were mainly bred for companionship, but also make excellent therapy and service dogs thanks to their obedient, protective, and devoted nature.
The Standard Schnoodle will love the entire family, but not equally. They will always form a stronger bond with one particular family member over the rest. This intelligent breed is highly intelligent but also stubborn, which can make training difficult. These dogs may not be suited for first-time owners as they tend to be dominant and in need of a firm training hand.
The Standard Schnoodle is an active pooch that requires a lot of daily exercise. They also need plenty of mental stimulation as well, otherwise they will become destructive and difficult to handle. Standard Schnoodles do not do well in apartments due to their size. They require a home with a fenced-in yard where they can roam around and burn off excess energy.
Mini Schnoodles are a low-shedding breed, which makes them suitable for allergy sufferers. These dogs tend to suffer from separation anxiety and should not be left alone for long periods of time.
