The Havachon is a toy-sized designer crossbreed whose parents are the adorable Havenese and the playful Bichon Frise—which are both different types of Bichons. Havachons are playful and loving with a low-shedding coat making them perfect for those who suffer from allergies.

Sometimes referred to as the Frise Havanese, Havachons are even-tempered that love being the center of attention. Despite their size they make excellent watchdogs, although they can get a tit “yappy” at times. These intelligent dogs are highly trainable, but can be stubborn due to their independent nature. Owners must assert themselves as the pack leader otherwise the Havachon will take over and misbehave. They’re also very curious dogs that love to solve puzzles as well as exploring.

Havachons get along very well with children and other dogs, and they make wonderful family pets. They require a moderate amount of exercise that includes interactive playtime as well as socialization early on. They do well in both apartments and homes with fenced-in yards. These dogs tend to become attached to their owners and suffer from separation anxiety when left alone for long periods of time.
