The Corgle, also known as the Beagi, is a designer crossbreed whose parents are the two adorable and popular breeds the Cardigan Welsh Corgi and the Beagle. The Corgle is a perfect perfect mix of the two, with some offspring having the sharp point ears of the Corgi and others having the small floppy ears of the Beagle.
Depending on which traits they inherit from their parents, Corgles may be stubborn when it comes to training like the Corgi or they may display their herding and prey instincts like the Beagle. Overall, they’re a sweet and affectionate breed that will easily adapt to all living situations, however, they do not do well when left alone. They get along well with children, however, they may become protective and should be supervised around smaller children.
The Corgle is an alert watchdog who should be socialized early on to avoid becoming aloof with strangers. Due to their strong prey drive, they may not get along well with cats or other small pets, which is also something that can be fixed with proper socialization. Daily moderate exercise is also important since both parent breeds are prone to obesity. Despite their stubborn streak, they are mostly eager to please, but will require consistent training with positive reinforcement.
