The Chowsky is a fluffy, medium-large designer crossbreed whose parents are the Siberian Husky and the Chow Chow. You may also hear this breed called other names, including the Chusky and the Chow Husky. This crossbreed in particular is an interesting one because the Husky is a highly active breed of dog while the Chow Chow is quite lazy. However, the Chowsky receives the best of both breeds as it is energetic like the Husky protective like the Chow Chow.
Of course, the Chowsky is also stubborn and sensitive, and is not a good dog for an inexperienced owner. They do best in high-energy households with securely fenced-in backyards. They require a lot of exercise and consistent training in obedience and socialization from the moment you bring them home. Above all, they need to know that their owner is in charge and they must work for everything.
Chuskies also tend to become attached to their owners, and will become destructive if left alone for too long. This trait can be nipped in the bud with proper training from a young age. They do very well with children, but have a tendency to become over protective. and they’ll serve as your family’s watchdog as well as a loyal and loving companion.
