The Cavoodle is a designer crossbreed whose parents are the Miniature Poodle and the Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. They are also referred to as the Cavapoo, Cavadoo, Cavapoodle, and the Cavadoodle. They are currently the most popular designer breed in Australia and they come in both toy and miniature sizes.
The Cavoodle is intelligent, playful, obedient, and eager to please, making it a highly trainable breed. Though they are high energy dogs, they can adapt to living in small apartments as long as they get adequate exercise each day. Cavoodles make attentive watch dogs that will alert you of any company or strangers, but they’re not aggressive by nature.
Cavoodles make excellent family dogs and make a great companion for children. However, small children should be supervised when interacting with the breed due to their high energy levels and small size. As long as they are socialized and trained properly, they’re very social dogs that will take any time of company they can get.
Cavoodles don’t shed often and are well tolerated by people with allergies. However, they do require professional grooming every six weeks and regular brushing at home. This breed thrives on attention and does not do well when left alone.
