Canine Obesity

Canine obesity is one of the biggest things that you have to worry about and the causes are a couple of different things that you have to be well aware of.  Many breeds will have to have a certain amount of excise to maintain a happy and healthy life but if you’re not willing to put in the effort to make sure that they get this exercise then you are just as much to blame as your dog.  If you’re one of those people that do not like exercising your dog is starting to resemble you then you need to figure out ways to cut down on your canine obesity so they can live a happy and healthy life.  In order to do so you need to consider all the factors in their life that is causing canine obesity and here are few tips that will keep you with the information that you need to help you out to cut down on your canine obesity to give your dog the life that they deserve.

Monitoring their food intake is one of the best ways to make sure that your dogs not getting fat.  Reading the back of every package of dog food that you purchase is recommended feeding regiment that you can follow depending on the type of breed and how small or larger dog is.  This regimen is only a guide and you have to determine the right diet for your dog depending on the specific breed.  If you are unable to maintain their food intake then you might want to bring your dog to the veterinarian where they can put them on a strict diet and will be able to tell you what food you need to buying and when to feed them.  The most important thing is that you’re going to have to stick to this die if you want your canine not to be obese.

Lack of exercise is another reason why your dog can become obese.  If you’re not taking the time to exercise your dog or at least take them for a walk every once and while than you are one to blame along with your dog.  Even though your dog cannot go for a walk on its own there are still things that they can do on their own to cut down on the fat that is building up around your dog.  They can go outside and play for half and our to burn off some of the extra calories and fat that have been developing on their body.  If you do not let them out side they’re not going to be able to run around and get the exercise that they need so you want to pay close attention to how much time you’re spending outside and if they are actually running around.  Monitoring their time outside is one of the best things you can do if you want to cut down on canine obesity so that your dog can live a happy and healthy life.
