The Boggle, also spelled Bogle is a designer breed that’s a cross between the Boxer and the Beagle. The result of this mix is a dog that’s medium-sized, athletic, playful, and lovable by all accounts. Thanks to their Beagle heritage, the Boggle has an excellent nose for tracking, and just like the Boxer, it’ll serve as a watchdog for you and your family.
The Boggle is a patient and gentle dog, and will do well with other dogs and children if socialized and trained properly. The adult Boggle loves to roughhouse and may not be suitable for families with young children. They also tend to be wary of strangers, but will become welcoming once adjusted to a newcomer’s presence.
The Boggle is an intelligent and very active dog. They require plenty of exercise daily, at least an hour, and don’t do well in apartments. While they tend to be on the more quiet side, they will develop a habit of jumping—on things and over fences—if not trained to behave from the start. The Boggle may be a handful at times because of its high energy levels, but they make up for it in affection and every lasting loyalty.
