The Beaglier is a fairly recent designer breed that’s a cross between a Beagle and a Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. Originating in Australia, the designer mix came about from the desire for a small companion that was both energetic and well-mannered. Due to the nature of both parents of the breed, Beagliers are highly adaptable, making them great for a wide range of homes.
The Beaglier may inherit more of its traits from either parent, so you may end up with a pup that’s easily trained or very stubborn. Regardless of trainability, you won’t come across a more even-tempered designer breed. Though the Beaglier is both small and energetic, they are prone to obesity and should get ample exercise daily.
The Beaglier is very loyal and affectionate, making it a great family dog. However, they tend to attach themself to one person the most. They’re also suitable for active singles, although it’s important to note that they do not like to be left alone for long periods of time.
Beagliers are a naturally social breed. However, due to their hunting instincts, they may not do well with cats or smaller animals. Overall, they’re a low-maintenance breed that mostly requires attention and exercise.
